cathédrale notre-dame

After reading portions of The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, we went as a group to see the cathedral for ourselves!

We weren't able to go inside the cathedral, but we climbed to the top instead. After huffing and puffing up a spiral staircase, we reached our first stop to the top.

From here we could see one of the most beautiful views of Paris and the Seine, as well as, an up-close look at the gargoyles that sit on the edge.

All the people waiting in line to see inside the Cathedral. Wow.

From there, we moved up into the bell tower!

It was a big bell...

Next we climbed even MORE stairs to the tippy top of the right tower.

All in all, the spiral staircases were worth these beautiful views from the top.
I believe it's less than 10 euros to go up! And if you're afraid of heights and still want to see a fantastic view of the city, maybe choose this option instead of the Eiffel Tower or Montparnasse Tower?

Now I'm inspired to go watch The Hunchback of Notre Dame!

Ciao (<-- fun fact they say this in France too),
